Public Programming

Creating and moderating dialogues, symposia, panels, and cultural performances for all audiences

I have organized numerous academic, cultural and media events to foster important conversations on race, culture, blackness and society. These informative programs create spaces of dialogue for positive community transformation.

From 2008 to 2015, I was an award-winning public affairs journalist on Atlanta’s Pacifica network affiliate WRFG 89.3 FM. My community radio programming, anchored in anti-oppression pedagogy, has been honored by the Atlanta Press Club ("Excellence in Radio Broadcasting"), the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists ("Pioneer Black Journalist for Public Affairs"), the Broadcast Education Association ("Best Educational Program"), and the National Alliance for Women in Media ("Outstanding Host").
